A sweet deal

Christ the Lord Lutheran Church in Elgin, Illinois, makes fighting hunger through the CROP Hunger Walk a “sweet” deal. The CROP Bake Sale is an event that church members look forward to all year.

Several weeks before the Walk, the call goes out to members to bake cookies, cakes, brownies, and more... but to make them in the shape of a shoe or foot! All proceeds go to the Elgin Area CROP Hunger Walk, which reached an all-time high of $26,800 in 2007!
