To
Distribute a list of questions to each Walker as they register. Invite participants during the kick off ceremony to walk for a while with someone they don't know, discussing one of the questions. Write the name of the person next to the question discussed. After each rest stop repeat the process with a new question and a new partner. You may collect these names at the end of the Walk and have a drawing for a gift.
Materials Needed
- Half sheets of paper with printed questions (see sample below). One question for each leg of the Walk.
- Gift for winner of drawing (a CWS Calendar, for example).
Sample Questions
Welcome to the _______CROP Hunger Walk! We appreciate your joining our efforts on behalf of hungry persons around the world. To enrich the experience of the Walk, and to strengthen our own community we invite you to talk with a "person on the street." Strike up a conversation with a walker you don't know, and exchange with them on one of the questions below. After each rest stop repeat the process with a new person and a new question. You may be surprised at what you learn! Please turn in this sheet at the end of the Walk for the drawing.

- What experiences led you to care about hunger?
- When was the closest you've ever been to being really hungry?
- What gives you hope that we can make a better world?
- What other things do you think we might do to help overcome hunger?
