What We Do - Indigenous Populations
Across the globe, voiceless, oppressed, and forgotten peoples are struggling for full participation within their societies. Church World Service supports local partners who accompany and promote the organization, capacity-building, and strengthening of indigenous peoples, and ethnic and racial minorities, with a special emphasis on human rights, land reform, and livelihood development.
Examples of current projects:
- Land & Livelihood for Indigenous Peoples of the Chaco Region, Bolivia
- Roundtable Program, Egypt
- People's Participatory Rural Development, Bangladesh
- People's Institutions and Livelihoods Assistance Response Program, Indonesia
- Water for Life / Water for All Rural Water and Sanitation Enhancement Project – Kenya
- Christian Council of Mozambique Core Activities Program, Mozambique
