Liturgies in Response to Terrorist Events
Father Mychal Judge's Prayer

The first of many funerals last September after the World Trade Center attacks was for Father Mychal Judge, a Franciscan and New York Fire Department chaplain who died giving solace to the dying. When his body was recovered at the World Trade Center, they found this prayer -- one Fr. Judge prayed often:

Lord, tell me where You want me to go,
Let me meet who You want me to meet,
Tell me what You want me to say,
And keep me out of Your way.

Suggested by Riverhead (NY) United Methodist Church as a resource for remembering victims of 9/11 and those who risked their lives to aid them.
