O Wondrous Weaver, weave through us
your peace for every life.
The fabric of our world is torn
by hatred, bitter strife.
Help us who are the living strands
within your family
to interweave each other’s faith
with rich diversity.
The tapestry which we create
is drab unless we choose
the colors of another’s faith
to add more vibrant hues.
Your love provides the warp and woof
upon which we can build
community of heart and mind
where hungry souls are filled.
Renew our will to mend the tears
that ravish planet Earth,
and help us redesign our lives
to give true justice birth.
We celebrate the Spirit’s power
at work in each of us
to weave a covering of love
with threads of mutual trust.
