Encouraging Hope gift cards

Refugee teens participating in an art workshop sponsored by Kentucky Refugee Ministries in Louisville collaborated on a painting of a globe showing where each of them came from.

They donated the painting to the agency for its 2006 holiday card, which also includes a photo of the artists. (See it at www.kyrm.org/EncouragingHopeCards.)

For a donation of $25 or more per card, the agency will send a card to the person or organization in whose honor the donation was made. An "in memory of" version also is available.

Contact Elizabeth Kaznak, Kentucky Refugee Ministries, 969-B Cherokee Road, Louisville, KY 40204, 502-479-9180 x 52, ekaznak@kyrm.org.

Seeking Refuge CD
Pianist and composer Rodney Waters (www.rodneywaters.com), a Refugee Services volunteer at Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston, Texas, enlisted other musicians, writers, and technicians to join him in producing this tribute to refugees' strength and courage.

The CD is packaged with poetry, photographs, and information about refugees. Suitable for gifts or your own group's resale or giving (e.g. to thank volunteers and cosponsors).

$10 each including postage from Interfaith Ministries Refugee Services, 3217 Montrose Blvd., Houston, TX 77006-3980.
