Are you concerned about how proposed changes in U.S. immigration policy could affect you, your family, friends, coworkers, or clients? Would you like to be more engaged in the current national debate on immigration and its impact on education, economics, family unity, safety and security, and other aspects of our shared future?
Church World Service seeks to contribute to the U.S. national debate on immigration through a series of Interethnic Dialogues on Immigration that enable participants to share diverse views with others in their community and move toward unity and action.
Interethnic Dialogues on Immigration seek participants from all ethnic backgrounds to speak out and listen to each other on this crucial topic. While some pit various ethnic groups against each other as potential winners and losers in the debates over immigration, Interethnic Dialogues on Immigration intend to draw from the wisdom of the whole community to build a common future.
Local face-to-face dialogues will take place during the spring of 2007. More info »
A national face-to-face dialogue will take place later in 2007. More info »
Space is limited; please contact us today about getting involved in Interethnic Dialogues on Immigration.
Through a process of sharing and listening, we believe common ground can be found among the wide variety of opinions on U.S. immigration policy, common ground that will lead us all forward into common action.
