When to go: Your case worker will set up the appointment at the TB clinic and let you know when you should take your family for the TB screening. The entire family should go to this appointment.
Important: There will be two separate appointments two to three days apart for the TB screening. One will be for the immunization, and the follow-up appointment will be to read the results. Any refugee who has a positive test reading is required to have a chest x-ray taken at Lancaster General Hospital, and will have a follow-up appointment usually the next month.
Where to go: State Health Center is located at 1661 Old Philadelphia Pike, Lancaster, PA 17602. It is next to HACC on Rte 340. The phone number if you get lost is 717-299-7597. Get a map and/or driving directions to the State Health Center by using Google Maps.
What to do: When you arrive at State Health, there will be a window directly in front of you. You are to go to that window, and write down the names of the refugees and list their A#’s which are found on the back of their I-94 cards. You will be given cards to fill out with birthdates, address, phone, name of doctor, etc.
What you need: Bring the following documents if you have them: passport, I-94 cards, and vaccination records.
