How to Help - Adopt-a-Room

The Adopt-a-Room program allows for businesses, churches, and individuals to “adopt” a room for a refugee and help ease his/her transition to the United States. By furnishing a room, you would be supplying a family who has nothing with a room they can call home.

You may choose any room in the house, such as a family room, bedroom or kitchen, and then help to furnish and decorate that room. You may furnish and decorate the room using items from your home that are no longer needed, or you can buy new furnishings and decorations. It is up to you. You are responsible for arranging the room and a time would then be set up with you to help welcome the entrant and family into their new room.
