Immigration Legal Services (Immigration Counseling), offers a wide variety of counseling services to immigrants, those seeking asylum, and others seeking legal immigration advice. Our program offers an alternative to the high cost of private immigration lawyers in central Pennsylvania.
Some of the services that Church World Service offers are:
- applications for permanent residence (green cards);
- citizenship;
- petitions for alien relatives;
- renewal of green cards and work permits;
- travel documents; and
- consultations.
Three Church World Service Lancaster staff members have 20 years of combined experience in immigration law and counseling. Church World Service/Lancaster is recognized by the Executive Office for Immigration Review of the U.S. Department of Justice, and four staff members are accredited to represent clients before the U.S. Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services. Counseling services are by appointment only and nominal fees are charged.
