Miami Office - Cuban/Haitian Program
The purpose of this program is to assist Cuban and Haitian Entrants attain self-sufficiency by facilitating primary and secondary resettlement services. The Cuban/Haitian Program has four main components:
- Processing - An initial orientation and interview are given to the client upon arrival.
- Resettlement - provides further orientation, gives referrals to local service providers, and helps clients achieve self-sufficiency.
- Out-of-State Resettlement - Provides resettlement outside of the state of Florida for clients who do not have a sponsor in Florida.
- Parolee Orientation Program (POP) - This program provides arrivals of the Cuban Migration Program (Cuban Lottery) with a cultural orientation, assistance in the completion of the I-765 (Employment Authorization request), and appointments with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and the Florida Health Department.
