Me too! Though giraffes hug a little differently — by
wrapping our necks around each other. When we care for someone else,
it is like we are hugging them, even though we may never even meet
them. The world needs a lot of hugs. Thanks for all you are doing
to build a better world for all God’s children!!
DAY ONE: Go to a
grocery store and look at the fresh produce. Imagine the hands that
worked to plant, pick, and pack them. Ask your grocer where the
food came from.
DAY TWO: Look in
your own cupboards at the canned or boxed food. With your parents
help, put together a bag of food to take to a local soup kitchen
or food pantry.
DAY THREE: Count
how many blankets you have in your house. Give 15 cents for each
one.
DAY FOUR: Look at
the CWS website to find more information on the Tools & Blankets Program.
DAY FIVE: Many homes
in the colonias do not have an indoor toilet. Give one dollar for
each bathroom in your house.
DAY SIX: Most people
in the world do not have heating and air conditioning in their homes.
Try going without for one day as a family and then make an offering
to CWS.
DAY SEVEN: Talk to
your friends at school about ways you as a group could make this
world a warmer, more caring place.
