• 100 beds and mattresses were delivered to two pediatric hospitals, Ibn Al-Alheer and Al Khassa, in Mosul.

• A shortage of beds at these two hospitals had required two to three children to share a single bed. Sharing of beds can lead to cross infection among patients and slow the healing process.

• The stainless steel beds were made locally for this project. The hospital directors were impressed by the beds saying the quality was better than beds that were made previously for the hospital.
