In a coalition effort, Church World Service is assisting displaced and vulnerable people in the Darfur region of western Sudan with:

  • essential household items – blankets, cooking
    sets, water containers, mosquito nets, soap, and plastic sheets and mats
  • health education and clinics
  • wells and latrines construction and rehabilitation
  • seeds, tools, and tree seedlings, particularly for
    woman-headed households
  • supplementary food for at-risk children,
    pregnant and lactating mothers
  • school construction and rehabilitation
  • adult education and livelihood training
  • peacebuilding and trauma counseling
