CWS/ERP Situation Report: Southeast Texas Fall Storms

A severe weather system this past weekend and continuing into early this week caused varying damage to almost 200 homes, washed out roads, and was responsible for four deaths and 10 injuries in southeast Texas. The storm dumped up to a foot of rain in both Texas and Louisiana and spawned tornadoes, closing schools and stranding motorists.

Tornadoes destroyed one mobile home and two single family homes and damaged another 31 housing units, including a mobile home. Affected counties included Brazoria, Calhoun, Fort Bend, Harris, Jefferson, Newton, Polk, and San Jacinto.
