When assigned a refugee case, CWS sends biographical information to one
of 26 affiliates in
its network. When possible, affiliate staff in one of 27 states work closely
with members of the refugee/s’ family who are
already in the U.S.. In most cases a congregation of one or more of nine
Protestant
denominations also
enters into a co-sponsoring partnership to support the resettling refugee/s.
