In the ensuing months, affiliate staff and church volunteers guide the newcomers
to life in the U.S., acting as bridges to the wider community, to government
support services, language training, healthcare, childcare, education and
entry-level jobs. Affiliates, local faith communities and family members
extend the kind of hospitality that enables newly resettled refugees on this
leg of the journey to the place they can call home.
