When Sunnyside Presbyterian Church of South Bend, Ind. wanted to
use a major financial gift to help with Hurricane Katrina recovery,
CWS helped match the congregation with Louisiana's Houma Nation. The
Native American tribe was able to start a grant program, with CWS assistance,
to help the community rebuild. The church even sent volunteer workers,
such as this one, to match action with finances.
