Recovery in Indonesia - Ejodia Kakoensi
Ejodia Kakoensi is an ordained pastor and a CWS information officer in Aceh province, Indonesia. She says that working in Aceh the last year has often been a challenge, but it has had significant rewards because of the progress made in settling a civil conflict and in the rebuilding of communities. She said the CWS contribution to the reconstruction efforts is special because of the agency’s emphasis on empowering local communities. “We’re more Indonesian,” she said of the CWS Indonesia efforts. “We’re part of Indonesia.”
