WALKING FOR A FRIEND

For the past ten years, Kenneth Bozek, 24, has participated in the South Hadley/Granby CROP Hunger Walk (Massachusetts). Bozek, who has cerebral palsy, started walking a year after his friend Bobby Hubbard died at the age of 16. Hubbard had always loved raising money and walking in the CROP Hunger Walk. Bozek picked up where Hubbard left off, even when his cerebral palsy was so debilitating that family members had to pull him in a wagon. Now he walks on his own two feet for the sake of people suffering from hunger and poverty. "Ken has a great deal of empathy for others in need," says Barbara Ayers, chairperson of the South Hadley/Granby CROP Hunger Walk. "Kenny is an amazing young man."
