Walk Quilt Raffled
Jo Clark and Jeannette Wolfe display the beautiful quilt created by Barbara Gabriel, Bremerton, Washington. The quilt was made using batik squares made by village women in Guinea Bissau, in West Africa, and given as leadership gifts by CWS. For three months, Jo Clark, coordinator of the Bremerton CROP Hunger Walk, circulated the quilt among six churches and several other organizations, selling raffle tickets. Jeannette Wolfe was the lucky winner of the recent drawing. The quilt raffle brought in an extra $1,000 for the Bremerton CROP Hunger Walk.
