STAR, trains clergy and other caregivers to recognize and respond to trauma.
Begun in the aftermath of 9-11, the CWS program provides caregivers with
tools to help break the destructive cycle of trauma, and work instead toward
healing. Trainings are also being held in conflict regions, such as West
Africa. Now, STAR leaders are exploring ways to integrate the program into
seminaries. The first STAR training for seminary students was held in February.
