Haitian Family Services
The major program goals of the Haitian Family Services Program are to provide linguistically and culturally appropriate domestic violence and child abuse prevention and education services to eligible clients; training in alternate skills and strategies for interpersonal behavior, and training regarding conflict resolution and anger management, and to increase Haitian refugees and entrants’ awareness of the laws of the United States relating to child abuse and neglect and domestic violence. The Haitian Family Services Program provides: parenting education training, domestic violence prevention training, case management and a Fatherhood Initiative Course.
Refugee Youth and Family Program
A comprehensive program focused on helping refugee/asylee families with school-aged children to succeed at school, reduce dropout risk factors, and successfully transition from school to workplace. Refugee Youth and Family Program helps with: Screening, psychological and academic assessment, tutoring and homework assistance, English language assistance, family violence prevention, linkage with needed community services, and case management, among other services.
