We are speaking out for those who can't. Our connection to partners in the U.S. and around the world informs and inspires our work in education and advocacy. Confronting the root causes of hunger is an essential complement to our overseas work. By raising awareness about poverty, the HIV/AIDS epidemic, human rights and peace-building, CWS brings the voices of our partners into the halls of churches, community groups and our government.

Join us in calling the U.S. government, the United Nations, and key international institutions to formulate policies responsive to the needs of impoverished people around the world. You can change the world.

Speak out to make a difference!

Take action on public policy issues related to hunger and poverty, access to water, climate change, the HIV/AIDS epidemic, human rights and peacebuilding.

With a focus on immigration reform...

NOW is the time to send a loud and clear message to your Senators and Representatives that immigration reform cannot wait! Speak out for immigration reform that reunites families, protects all workers and provides a way for undocumented immigrants to earn legal status:

  • Phone, fax or email your Senators and Representative NOW and tell them fair, humane immigration reform can’t wait! Click here to Speak Out!
  • Host a community event for immigration reform in April, such as a “teach-in” or prayer vigil. Make sure to invite your members of Congress to your event and/or to send them pictures and information about how it went.  Congress will be on recess March 26-April 11, so it’s a good time to seek meetings with them in their home offices.  Here’s a “Neighbor to Neighbor” guide to visiting your members of Congress in their home districts.
  • See and share the YouTube video: "Immigration reform now!"

Enough for All Campaign

Global warming and other changes in climate patterns are dramatically reshaping life on this planet. These changes affect where we can live, the food we grow and eat, the existence of particular species of plants and animals, the prevalence of hunger, poverty and disease, our ability to earn a living or engage in a particular livelihood, as well as whether we can continue certain cultural and spiritual practices.

For everyone on this planet to thrive, those of us who live in wealthy nations must be willing to change how we live. Global warming first and foremost is a justice issue. More than ever before, we must grapple with the question "How much is enough?"

The Enough for All campaign focuses on the critical issue of global warming and demonstrates the positive and successful collaboration across various stakeholders in civil society to address the life giving resource- water- in terms of being most critically impacted by global warming and the defining resource of the 21st century.
