The CROP Hunger Walks

CROP Hunger Walks help children and families worldwide -- and right here in the U.S. -- to have food for today, while building for a better tomorrow. Each year some two million CROP Walkers, volunteers, and sponsors put their hearts and soles in motion, raising over $16 million per year to help end hunger and poverty around the world -- and in their own communities. And you are part of it!

Why I'm Walking

I have been participating in the South Suburban CROP Walk for over 20 years. 25% of the funds raised go to support agencies in the South suburbs including South Suburban PADS which provides shelter for homeless men, women and children. I have been a PADS volunteer for over 10 years and we really need the funds. 75% of the funds will be used by Church World services (CWS) and other international agencies for disaster relief and self help developement projects throughout the world. I know that many of you have suffered economic hardships, but many of the persons who benefit from the CROP Walk have less. No amount is too small, any contribution will be greatly appreciated. I walk, because they walk!
